How To Get Different Backgrounds On Two Monitors
Hi, Give thanks you for being a part of Windows 10 Technical Preview testing. I would suggest you to try the following steps. a. Correct click on the Empty screen. Note: When you correct on the desktop groundwork you lot will get an option to select the monitor to set the desktop background. Hope this helps. Let us know if yous have any other issues with Windows in future.
b. Click on Display settings.
c. The process of setting up different wallpaper on a Windows ten computer requires that the second monitor must be enabled in extended mode. Once y'all have dual or multiple monitors running in Extended Mode, you can prepare different wallpaper for different monitors on c computer running Windows 10.
d. Makeup your listen equally to which wallpaper you wish to have on your 2d monitor and open up Personalization'south Desktop Background tab and right click on the desired wallpaper to be set as background for the second monitor.

Howdy - The display setting shows monitor ane and 2 in extended manner.
When I run personalize from the desktop in either monitor at that place is no option to fix the background for a dissimilar monitor.
Whether I click on monitor 1 or monitor 2 on the desktop, the new background shows on both monitors.
How do I become the option to select a different background on the 2nd monitor in extended mode?

Hello -
This looks like information technology will piece of work, as Display Fusion allows: Different image on each monitor, to Span prototype across all monitors, to Brandish a live preview of your desktop to help identify your monitors and Sets a Screen Saver for the Window Logon screen.
I yet wonder why in Windows 10, the right click of an image in Personalization does not permit the selection of monitor 1 or monitor 2 for the background?

Hi, Did yous upgrade to the latest Build 10166? If you take non upgraded to the latest Build 10166, and so I would suggest you to upgrade to the latest Build and check if that helps. I accept the opposite upshot - in extended mode, I get two different wallpapers on each monitor, however there is no fashion to set it to show the same epitome on both monitors just go on the 2 monitor functionality

Okay, simply how do you lot ready upwards a different slideshow on each monitor? With Due west-8.1 I was able to have both my screens displaying a unlike picture from a slideshow of about 20, and they changed every few minutes.

You have to use the old personalization from control panel but it seems subconscious.
- Open up Run (Win+R).
- Paste this "control /name Microsoft.Personalization /page pageWallpaper" without quotes, press OK.
From here you should be familiar with the customizations you had earlier. Setup your picture locations. You tin can right click a image and Set for monitor ane,ii,3 depending on your setup.
On this screen you volition also be able to setup shuffling of background at specified interval.
Edit: I am not using the Insiders version equally I've moved to retail but this should work.
Edit two:
Easy access. Creating a shortcut.
- Another helpful way to access this is to right click your desktop, new and create a shortcut.
- Paste the higher up in quotes in the the box where it says Type the location of the particular.
- Name it Wallpaper Control or whatever y'all similar.
- Put the shortcut into "C:\Users\Your Username Here\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Outset Menu\Programs" where Your Username Here is plainly your login username.
- Now it'll be in your Beginning Card in All Apps or you can simply press your Windows fundamental and start typing whatever you lot named it, in my case one time I showtime typing by the time i press "wa" I tin can press enter and it'll load the page.

Note: I tested with 10 seconds and what it seems to do is alternate betwixt monitors. So monitor 1 changes first after 10 seconds, and then the monitor two changes ten seconds later. Roughly maybe off a couple seconds I'yard non certain. I but came across this b/c I wanted two separate wallpapers on each monitor and thought I'd help some of you guys out.

Yes, that lets me set up a slide show, or two different pictures, merely it nonetheless won't allow me prepare 2 unlike slideshows. Is there something i'm missing?

Edited my outset mail, to hopefully answer your question if that'south what your after. Besides a nice shortcut instead of the initial method.
If it'southward not what your after I'm not sure what to tell you. I'k done with this wallpaper nonsense hahaha.
