Terraria Makes Background Noise Static?

Biome backgrounds are images that appear behind objects and blocks in each biome. Each biome has its own set of backgrounds that usually prove a landscape of the biome. In a world, each biome is randomly assigned a background from its own fix, and tin can exist inverse by using a World Earth . Backgrounds can likewise be overridden using Monoliths. Backgrounds do not impact a biome in any fashion, except in The Hallow, where the electric current background affects the style of hallowed trees. Turning off backgrounds in Settings hides them, though ambience entities will withal appear.

These backgrounds consist of only one layer, unlike surface backgrounds, and cannot exist changed with Earth Globes.

Underground Hallow [ ]

On the PC version PC version, Console version Console version, Mobile version Mobile version, Old Chinese version One-time Chinese version, tModLoader version tModLoader version, and tModLoader 1.3-Legacy version tModLoader 1.iii-Legacy version, the following backgrounds are used. On the Old-gen console version Erstwhile-gen console version, Windows Phone version Windows Phone version, and Nintendo3DS Nintendo 3DS version version, the cavern layer background for whatever other biome the histrion is in is dynamically tinted pink.

Underworld backgrounds [ ]

Unlike the underground backgrounds, these have multiple layers similar surface backgrounds do.

Trivia [ ]

  • The 3rd Hallow surface background features a large blithe lake on its 3rd layer which cannot be easily seen in-game.
  • The backgrounds of the Hugger-mugger Corruption, Cherry, or Hallow biomes revert to the default caverns background just before the underworld, and they don't announced until the hugger-mugger layer isn't visible anymore on the screen.

    • Added unique surface backgrounds for the Forest, Desert, Jungle, Ocean, Corruption and Hallow.
      • Prior to the update, only the basic blueish groundwork could be seen in every biome.
  • Desktop-Release: Introduced undercover and cavern backgrounds.
